Our Parade

The Krewe of Little Rascals Parade annually rolls along Veterans Boulevard from Clearview Shopping Center to the end at Martin Behrman. Our approximately four-mile Parade makes no turns on Severn or Bonnabel.  Led by the Sheriff’s vehicles and our KLR Pace Car, the Parade travels the traditional Metairie Parade Route on Veterans Blvd.

We include our Captain

2013 King and Queen

Krewe on full-sized McKinley Cantrell floats.

Everyone riding is tethered  on for safety.  All members throw to the crowds lining the street.

These floats are joined by marching groups

bands, horseback riding groups, car clubs, our 2013 Grand Marshall Mr. Greg Cipes

2013 Grand Marshal "Greg Cipes"

and much more, totaling over 85+ units.

The Jerusalem Temple and Farhad Grotto Shriners are a beloved part of our production, along with several horse riding clubs, car clubs, and several radio station vans and special vehicles.  Many schools from the Metro Area participate along with dancing schools, military bands & floats and Jimmy’s Kids.

The Sand Troopers

Tens of thousands line the parade route and hundreds of thousands watch as our family-oriented parade is aired on area T.V.  Our parade on January 20, 2013 attracted a crowd of over 200,000, three times as many people as the crowd who attend the Super Bowl.

To children in the Metro Area, there is no greater thrill than being on a Mardi Gras float, throwing to crowds who are yelling, “Throw me something”!
